Position Purpose: Reports directly to the Deputy Account Manager. Provides oversight for the processing and maintenance of an automated payroll system. Manages the daily process of gathering all necessary data and producing accurate and timely input into the corporate payroll system. Responsible for managing one Administrative Specialist who performs many of the detailed functions associated with this responsibility. As a skilled applications database developer (MS Access) responsible to build, test, integrate, implement and maintain numerous automated systems to streamline these processes. Coordinates the development, maintenance and changes for all piece rates and implements them locally and in Front End Payroll System (FEPS). Supports numerous Payroll reports and online tools. Provides payee counseling and ongoing training support for Payroll and Payroll systems.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide supervisory responsibilities for the Administrative staff which includes but is not limited to performance reviews, salary administration, time approval and general administrative oversight.
Incentive Pay Rate Setting and Review
Build and maintain individual departmental incentive pay plans to maximize performance
Ongoing Payroll Processing
Ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately
Payroll Instruction and documentation
Provide training to new employees on the use of internal payroll processes and tools and how the incentive pay program impacts pay
Document and maintain internal payroll processes
Provide diverse technical support for various existing and emerging tools and systems that support payroll automation, operations analysis and reporting.
Oversee the maintenance of numerous data repositories in support of payroll and other functions.
Analysis, coordination, preparation and activation of monthly payscore updates
Maintenance and processing of files that download data from the legacy system used to support operations
Report maintenance and development including adhoc reports and analysis

Skills and Qualifications
Five years of strong, comprehensive Microsoft Access program development and database administration experience. Experience must extend beyond basic queries and simple table design.
Three years of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) coding experience
Three years of other Microsoft Office experience with concentration in MS Excel. Experience must extend beyond simple spreadsheets
Some experience with large scale payroll processing desirable
Ability to solve problems through analysis and ongoing feedback
Strong analytical and composition skills; to include analyzing data for variation and trends
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, flexibility under pressure
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Capable of working independently
Knowledge of a call center environment and quality monitoring processes
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Access development including advanced table design, complex query development, sophisticated forms design, macro and module development.
Highly proficient in use of personal computer, including MS Office Suite. Skills required in Microsoft Excel beyond simply spreadsheets.
Some experience using automated call monitoring software (e.g., Verint, etc)
Some experience utilizing data generated from Avaya Automated Call Distribution (ACD) reports
