Summary: Under the general direction of the Conduent Director of Clinical Services, the purposes of this position are to: 1) provide clinical recommendations pertaining to new drugs, pipeline therapies, updated treatment guidelines, and other pharmacy program trends; 2) manage and deliver documents and deliverables to the Client related to the pharmacy program as well as other clinical programs; 3) perform quality analysis on all clinical programs; 4) assist in the development of new clinical initiatives and requirements based on such things, but not limited to, cost savings, new drugs and innovative technology; 4) prepare abstracts for scientific research projects; 5) serve as the clinical resource to the Client.
Position is a "remote" position that can be worked from home (located near any US Conduent location)
- Provides clinical recommendations to state clients, with heavy emphasis on retrospective drug utilization review and psychiatric pharmacy practice.
- Develops and maintains retrospective drug utilization review interventions using clinical and analytical skills.
- Facilitates reporting and other requested client requests.
- Participates in research initiatives by identifying topics, leads development of abstracts, and facilitates submission of work to national pharmacy organizations.
- Contributes to Conduent’s Clinical Services team, as needed, by writing newsletter articles, assisting with new implementations, leading and participating in internal committees, and by attending designated team meetings.
Education: A Pharm. D. degree in pharmacy is required. Residency trained and/or Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist (BCPP) preferred
Experience: Analytical and problem-solving experience required. Good communication skills (written and oral) required. At least three years of pharmacy experience required, with understanding of pharmacy point-of-sale and adjudication rules and functions. Use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Microsoft Outlook. Knowledge of Medicaid pharmacy policies and programs beneficial.
Job Knowledge: Has thorough knowledge of all phases of work. Can review, analyze, and apply literature to specific therapeutic situations. Knows and can discuss the pathophysiology of the major disease states likely to be seen in specific client’s plans. Assumes responsibility for meeting own professional development needs.
